How to deal with Hamete 1

Hamete are trick moves, which try to take advantage of the opponents disability to figure out the correct responses. However if one knows how to answer the Hamete, the opponent will find himself at a disadvantage.
This is about how to deal with Whitess crosscut at 1, which often appears in high handicap games.

Basic Dia:

When Black makes the pincer, Withe attaches and cuts, aiming to create complications. Black can easily be tricked if he doesn't know the correct Tesuji to deal with the situation.

Dia 2: Withes aim 1

If Withe thoughtlessly ataris with 7 and 9, Withe is happy to take a big corner. This result is not good enough for Black.

Dia 3: Withes aim 2

If Black tries to safe his corner with 7 and 9 here, Withe builds thickness outside. The territory Black has taken is very small and ones again he is not satisfied.

.

Dia 4: Correct moves for Black

The solution is not to atari at all but just extend to the corner. This resembles a general idea when dealing with cross cuts. After Black 3, A and B are Miai for Black.

Dia 5: Tesuji 1

The hane of 1 is trying to salvage the situation, if Black B, Withe 2 and Withe seals Black into the corner. However Black has the brilliant Tesuji of 2, which keeps A and B Miai. Withe has no follow up.

Dia 6:

Being aware of this Tesuji Withe may try to reduce Blacks liberties by playing at 8, if Black then cuts with 9 to 15, Withe happily jumps to 16 knowing that he has ones more tricked Black.

Dia 7: Tesuji 2

If Black wants to get a favourable result he has to play the splendid Tesuji of 2 next...

Dia 8: Withe falls apart

...Black pushes ones with 11, Withe has no choice but to submit with 12 after which Black cuts with 13 and 15. Withe suffers a big loss in this Diagram.
